Projected Road Work For This Year

Surface Treating:
Stape Road – State Route 14A to Carroll Road
Simonsen Road
Briggs Road – State Route 364 to Jerusalem Line
Benton-Jerusalem Town Line Road
Buckle Road - State Route 14A to North Flat Street

Chips Program:
We are going to pave the rest of the Johnson Road, starting at  Ridge Road and going north towards Earls Hill Road.  We will be surface treating the section of Johnson Road that was paved last year.

Sign Replacement:
Start replacing some of our advisory signs with new high intensity signs.  This is requested by the State.  We have until January, 2012, to establish and implement a sign assessment method, and by January, 2015, all signs have to meet these standards.  All road name signs must be changed by 2018.

Pipe Replacement:
A pipe on Briggs Road south of State Route 364 – The road will be closed in order to perform the work.  Motorists will be notified before the work begins.
All pipe on Payne Road starting at Rasmussen Road and going north to Ferguson Corners Road.  We will be cleaning ditch and cutting shoulders on this section in preparation for a new top next year.

As in previous years, the amount of work we can do will depend on the price of fuel and materials. Some projects will probably have to be cut as the year progresses.
